Clarksville’s got plenty of trees, but not all of them are worth keeping around. Here are the top offenders we deal with regularly:
Bradford Pear: These trees grow fast, look nice for a few years, and then split in half during a strong wind. Not worth it.
Silver Maple: Fast-growing but shallow roots that tear up driveways and septic lines.
Mimosa: Pretty blooms, but weak wood and invasive roots.
Hackberry: Drops branches like it’s going out of style and attracts pests.
Boxelder: Messy, short-lived, and prone to disease.
What to do? Remove and replace with strong native species like oak, hickory, or dogwood. If you're unsure what you're dealing with, we’ll come take a look.
