How to Know When a Tree Needs to Come Down

Sometimes the signs are obvious: a tree leaning toward your house, or limbs falling during a storm. Other times, it's subtle. Here’s what to watch for:

  • Dead or brittle branches high in the canopy

  • Cracks in the trunk or root flare

  • Fungal growth at the base

  • Bark falling off in large patches

  • Sudden leaf loss in summer

If you spot any of these, don’t wait. A damaged tree can go from risky to catastrophic in a heartbeat. We can assess the situation and recommend removal if needed.
